Profile Posts - visibile or not?

I just noticed profile posts as a tab in the "New Posts" section - and when I clicked, I saw a couple of rather private conversations. Not that they're "private" in any real sense, being on a public bulletin board, but I don't think this tab - "New Profile Posts" - is necessary; I don't want to more or less accidentally bump into other people's conversations ...

Just my opinion, of course; I'll ignore that tab anyway from now on.

Those posts were visible to the public with the old software, too. One just needed to click on a user's profile to see them before. Part of the issue is that many people posted "profile messages" (or whatever they were called) thinking it was a private messaging system. The other part is that now there is a way that they are aggregated and more easily accessed.

I would also agree that if there is a way to disable that tab, it would be appropriate.

Alternatively, since they almost all look like either spam or quick "notes" from one user to another, they could all be deleted.
