Just picked up my new EF-M 55-200 IS STM lens. Compact, light, and excellent optics. Still love the EOS-M.

Actually, I have loaded the latest firmware and it has made a major difference in the AF. It is now quick and accurate.

Yet, the EOS-M is selling very well in Japan and the rest of Asia.

So, we all know that canon USA has dropped the little M. Luckily, I live in Canada, so I still have access to the M, including the excellent 11-22 lens. It seems such a shame, as the M is a great camera, with a great sensor and, with firmware update, a great auto-focus system. Shortcoming...

I've just received my 11-22 EOS-M lens. Beautiful sharp wide angle lens. I use it for street and scenic shooting. As an alternative to your 8-16, it is perfect.

I envy you. Once I get a new camera I can never seem to part with it!
