Hi guys i'm new to the forum. I just bought this camera. I was so mesmerized with the specs that i had no doubt to buy it instead of the bulky "pro-like" cameras, just to show-off. In fact it's beautiful that people keep asking me if it's a Professional DSLR and i just show the little jewel. :dance3:

I'm completely new to photgraphy, this my first camera(i can say that).

That shot was in Nazaré, Portugal during my euro trip. iA (fully auto). Just adjusted the levels later.

Thank you Martin and damianmkv. The haloing is present in the first frame also. The tree had a fine layer of ice on most branches and this refracted the light from the street lamp which was (intentionally) blocked by a thick branch. But you can still see a small bit of the lamp just left of centre near the bottom of the picture.

Very impressed with JPEGS coming out of this camera after some brief tests...

Much as I enjoy and appreciate a good variety of m4/3 bodies and lenses, the LX100 goes with me wherever and whenever I go. And it's often used, even with the other m4/3 gear just as close at hand. For me, the LX100 is a grand-slam homer for photographers. Superb image making machine that does most things extremely well and does so quite elegantly. I love this great little camera.

I use it mostly for snapshots around the house, but it yields wonderful image quality and very fine detail rivaling my other m4/3 cameras/lenses.

I agree - the more I use it, the better it gets. Small, discreet, good ergonomics (subjective, I know...), decent high ISO performance. Even the OOC Jpegs are very usable. :)

I guess I should be posting here instead of the other thread :) Out for dinner, a couple of shots but not of food (I hear you all sigh with relief)

And no, its not full of ice and wine/champagne. Apparently the latest thing is to throw the cutlery and paper serviettes into what used to be a champagne bucket. Its not very attractive, but it works.
