From the 3-day trip we just did to NYC. Friday night when the daughter and I arrived, it was cold but nice enough out. Saturday was snow / rain and cold. Sunday was nearly 40 and sunny. We biked from Brooklyn to Manhattan and back a few times, hit the natural history museum, that sort of thing. Stayed with a friend whose building has a roof deck up 27 floors in Brooklyn. I will add some more when I get to them in Photoshop, but these are basically SOOC and I like them enough...

Walking to the building, a good example of why sometimes that 35mm lens just sorta pulls magic out of nowhere. SOOC...

SELFIE! I don't think she even noticed me as I biked past. This is uncropped, too... I was right alongside her.

Very cool Kyle. I used to love urban riding, although not so much with any snow/ice on the roads. Because I figured that even if I rode safely and stayed out of trouble, I've seen too many motorists start sliding around out of control. Almost got hit once when I was riding with studded Nokians but the car next to me wasn't as prepared and started sliding into me. Fortunately I could stop and it slid by me but it was a real wake up call. So be careful out there! I don't think you'll be riding much for the next few days - I hope you folks don't get hit too hard...

A few more. I used my ample indoors time during the blizzard (and ensuing 1-day cold & fever) to finish some editing.

Rooftop view, 35mm, braced against a railing for about half a second.

Ditto. Pixel peep this, and share my awe at how clean that lens is at f1.4...

Same rooftop, but looking up. The building was once the largest hotel in Brooklyn, if not all of NYC. The rooftop was an egyptian-themed restaurant. All that's left now are the papyrus-clad columns. That space up there is one big open room, and will go for only about $4M, which is cheap given where it is.
