Panasonic FZ200 extreme zoom experiments

I spent the early am messing with various zoom settings on the FZ200, and I found some combinations that are pretty extreme.

I don't think I would use the last one unless I saw, say, a sasquatch at long range and needed to document it.

Agree, the second to last is just about usable if you clean it up a bit and don't mind some loss of detail - the last one is pretty awful :tongue:
On the 600mm shot, looks like the camera focused on the seeds just behind the bird, and they seem to show good detail.
 
you're also losing detail shooting through windows and glass. That last one looks like a painting if you run it through a denoise program with everything turned up to 11. It may not be what you want, and you lose even more detail, but if the noise bothers you, it CAN go away. It just ceases to look like a photo. ;)
