I've just ordered an A7 as I intend to use it for very wides and I understand it has better rendering than the A7r for superwides.
I can't justify the A7s.

I think this is an Australia only deal. BTW: I have no affiliation with CameraPro other than I am a customer.

Just as a headsup on this deal, there is a limit to the date the Sony cashback can be applied for and stock delays could go past this but the sales guy I spoke to said they were working with Sony on this.
Just be aware it could be an issue.

Last night the Camerapro pages showed the price after the $250 discount, and now they don't i.e. it did say $1049, now $1299

http://www.camerapro.com.au/sony-a7-full-frame-mirrorless-camera-body-australian-stock.html

EDIT: I think it is because they are now saying out of stock

Google were up/down all over the place for the price too.
I think refer to this page for the next couple of days - http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?id=6a5dd5f9dc&u=69eece19f6a0bc7534a551802

My A7 is back ordered, I processed it over the phone and they sales guy definitely took the order for a total of $1392 which includes $20 odd dollars for freight and a 1.5% surcharge for credit card. Once I process the $300 cashback it will be AU$1092 all up for me.

I have to say Luke, you are right here about some of the Australia deals, the recent price drops on Sigma Merrills in Australia were about the best I'd seen worldwide.
I do wonder if Sony are about to announce some more cameras?

The deal has been removed from both Camerapro's and Digidirect's websites, but is apparently still available in-store at Digidirect if you bring this coupon:

...and camerapro will send you a coupon code if you sign up for their newsletter for the website and/or email them at team@camerapro.com.au and request the code.

Incidentally the A7 at this price is cheaper than the going rate for a used Canon 5D MkII, and you can redeem a free adapter with any A7 purchased including the Metabones EF adapter which means you can use Canon lenses as well (with ridiculously slow AF, of course).

I know that Camerapro is still providing coupon codes if you email (I have one from earlier today) so they must think they can get hold of more stock. I'm just not sure if, beyond the relatively cheap entry point of the bodies at these prices, the system offers value and whether using the cameras with adapted lenses is an optimal solution compared to native lenses. Having experimented with doing just that on Micro 4/3 my assumption is that it is not.
