Kombi vans are as special to me as the (original) Beetle. Although if I had one Iād probably over do it with the by including the curtains, maybe even put the sink in there too, etc.A VW Kombi pickup! Those are like unicorns in my area.

Taken with rather inferior gear to what we have now.
It had snowed overnight, where we were staying in a "hut/lodge" at Whakapapa on Mt Ruapehu to do some of the hikes. I have to remember not to say "tramps" apparently.
My companion was very sceptical when he saw the car, that we would get back in time for our shifts that day - but trusty old Vdub started like a charm
I've also posted one of Ngauruhoe having a minor ash and steam eruption from the same trip.
