For those of you who may be wondering how exactly you can get a photograph to look this bad, here is the recipe: 1940 Argus A2F, scale focusing, no light meter, and expired Fuji Superia 400 film. Add Silver Efex for good measure. :)

Canon TX, 35mm 2.8 nFD, seriously underexposed Fuji Superia 400 (Expired), Silver Efex.

Selective color certainly has a place in photography. You probably have noticed that some very impressive and expensive advertising campaigns have used it. Nice example of well-used and well-executed selective color in this shot.
