Bolwell Mk 7 circa 1967-1972. About 400 of these were produced making Bolwell the 5th largest car manufacturer in Australia at the time.

These were relatively affordable and could be bought ready built or as kit cars. Bolwell still make cars in exceedingly small numbers priced from about $200,000. Red IT Solutions

a few assorted vehicles

A few vehicles on my personal list that stand out -

The first is a special Taxi dedicated to carrying animals and not humans - a 'Pet Taxi' - in the neighboring town of Ashland, Oregon -

Then, a cool and semi-ancient Fire Truck - manufactured by the now defunct company, Seagrave - with an interesting name: 'Seagrave Fire Apparatus'. I saw this in a tiny norther California logging town, McCloud, CA, which sits in the shadows of Mt. Shasta -

Vintage Caddy's

A few vintage Cadillacs were rolling down the Main Street of the small Oregon town where I live recently, during the annual 'Harvest Festival' parade - so obviously I had to take a few pictures.

The first, a classic fire-engine red 1961 convertible -

The next, I'm not sure what year, but damn did it look sweet, and if you look closely, you can see the This-is-one-sweet-ride understated grin on the face of the gentleman at the wheel -

My Red Zed (sob, wail....boo hoo....I miss you my darling) My last shout at the devil, my protest against time and tide. The car I fell into and crawled out of whilst trying to preserve my dignity.

An old joke I have with my dear blessed and fragrant Mrs T is this....."when my Parkinsons's gets so bad I can no longer take pictures, we are going too Switzerland but only one of us will have the return ticket. But when I get back I am gonna buy my Zed back AND get me some burlesque girls"!!!!!

Oh, and the older model I ditched in favour of the newer one (without the expense of a divorce)

"Old Grey" was her name

Both were 3 litre straight 6's, both hugged the road like a monkey sucking on a mango.

The Z4's are among the few modern BMW's I really like. The current generation, IMO, is one of the most distinctive and pretty designs of any brand out there right now. Looks great in red!

Bob, that's a nice set of wheels you've got there. Seems like a lot of fun! I'd probably have gone for something less powerful but more tail-happy than the GT-R, but it's impressive for sure! Do you take the Toyota offroad often?
