Birds Show Birds

Great stuff here!
We had a cardinal that occupied some trees with a bird feeder at our old apartment complex. Tried for 4 years to get a good shot.

I put a bird feeder out in a garden in the front of our house a few months ago, and caught this guy snacking. Taken through the front dining window with E-PL5 and 40-150mm at 150mm.

Where's the food

This Carrion Crow (Corvus corone corone) nest is only about 7 feet off the ground in the only tree on a one kilometre grid square and with the aid of a handy boulder I was able to put my hand in to count the number of eggs. I won't be putting my hand in now, these youngsters still have their eyes closed and so regard anything put infront of them as food. The inside of their mouths look to be equipped with a rasp, so my fingers aren't going anywhere near them.

Impresssive shots, look almost from a dinosaur era.

A Black Kite in flight. Shot yesterday at the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover, UK. The flying display was extraordinary, at one point there were 5 vultures and 10 kites swooping down over our heads. I got lucky with this one, XT1 with 18-55mm at 18mm (yes, that's how close the birds fly), 500th at F10. The focus is slightly off but quite an image nevertheless.
