Ricoh The Ricoh GR image thread

Taken a few days ago, after dropping a friend off at the train station; a train had just come in, one of the arriving passengers was a violinist, and he gave a small impromptu concert in the main waiting hall of the old station -

The good thing was, I had the GR in a pocket, so I could take a few pictures.

Two more from the GR.

The first, another view of the classical violinist I saw giving an impromptu concert at a nearby local train station -

The second, taken outside my house, where my granddaughter went walking through the jungle-like grass -

Great camera. Beware of dust. My month old GR developed 2 large spots last weekend. one visible at f5.6 (just)
Trying to decide wether to live with it or send it away under warranty for cleaning.
Knowing its likely to happen again is telling me to live with it :confused-95:

My GR was fine for 11 months, and during the last month before the warranty expired, it got a lot of dust on the sensor. I sent it in for cleaning, and after two months without a camera I got a new one as a replacement. During the two months I sent four emails asking what's going on but got no useful information. I still have no idea what happened to the original one.

I don't know if that is normal for Ricoh, or if the problem was Ricoh or the store I bought the camera from, but needless to say I was pissed. Well, at least I got a camera with a clean sensor and as a bonus another year of warranty.
