Nikon Showcase Post Nikon Df Photos

Thank you. And I like the Sigma 24mm/1.4 Art. It is a little shorter than the 35mm and with a 77mm diameter but apart from this very similar. There seems to be a light vignette when not stopped down.
Until now it is difficult for me to determine if the sharphness is set exactly on the Df with open aperture (this is easier on A7, but there is no AF and aperture control).

Headed over to a local park yesterday, expecting to find a May Day festival, but we had the wrong day on that one. Still, the tree blossoms are popping like crazy (I THINK they're cherry blossoms, but I know bupkis about flowers and blossoms and such, so I'm just guessing), so I got a couple of of shots of that instead. The first is a context shot with the 24-120 and the second is a bit of detail and bokeh with the 180 f2.8... It's far from a macro lens, but it's long enough to get sort of close and I think the bokeh is gorgeous. Not bad for a $300 use lens... With pretty fast AF no less...

So that's what those things are... I saw some photos of cherry blossoms and didn't think they looked like them, but then I saw some other's that did, so I thought they might be 'em. I guess not.

When I'm out shooting landscapes at the wide end, there's nothing close to the Zeiss 21. But for walking around the city, the little Voigtlander 20mm f3.5 pancake is quickly turning into my go-to lens - I just stuck a couple up in the street shot thread, and here are a couple more:

It's interesting to see you shoot something besides a 24, Ray. I like it.
Thanks Kyle. I actually shoot in the 85-150 range a fair amount, but usually just for candid portraits and most of those with family and friends, so I don't post a whole lot of them. But I figured if I'm gonna pony up for a Zeiss 100, I really ought to stretch out a little bit and learn to do more at this length. And nothing like an inspiring lens to push the issue a little bit...

Oh, and I shoot 21 just about as much as 24...
